Our goals are to reveal new quantum physics and applications by design and exploitation of III-V semiconductor nanostructures and atomically thin dichalcogenides.
An important part of our work is reaching wider audiences. We have created a series of entertaining educational animations about quantum physics and regularly take park in science fairs.
The LDSD group was founded in 1991 with just two academics, one PhD student and one simple laboratory. Since then it has published in excess of 500 papers and has expanded its personnel to its present position of 55 group members.
